Hudson Dance Academy’s Competitive Program
We offer five competitive lines for all abilities and ages 4-18.
- Senior Company – Advance Dancers
- Teen Company – Intermediate/Advance Dancers
- Junior Company – Intermediate/Beginner Dancers
- Petite Company – Beginners
- HDA Babies Company – Beginners
Our competitive dancers are National Award Winning Dancers.
We provide a positive and enriching environment to grow as dancers.
There is a lot to consider when auditioning for a Competitive Program
The Hudson Dance Academy Competitive Program Offers:
- Competitive Classes – more personal attention

- National Champions Sweeping 1,2,3 for Three years in a row.
- Week Day Rehearsals
- Professional Choreographers & Guest Artists
- Opportunities to attend Conventions: Refresh, Jump, Radix, NYDCA, Nuvo
- We offer optional competitions for solos, duets and trios for those seeking opportunity
- Nationals are optional every other year
- We bring in amazing guest instructors throughout the year.
- Optional opportunities to take multiple ballet and technique classes

- Technique, Strength & Acro Class
- Dance Intensive and/or Mini Dance Intensive
- Summer Ballet Intensive
- Auditions

FALL 2024-25 / SZN 23

Senior Company Line:
- 7-9 hours of weekly class
- Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Modern, Technique, & Acro
- Competes in 5 Large and/or Small Groups
- Attends at least one dance convention
- Class Schedule TBA (3-4 Days a week)
Teen Company Line:
- 7-9 hours of weekly class
- Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Modern, Technique, & Acro

- 6-7 hours of weekly class

- Competes in 4 Small Groups
- Attends at least one dance convention
- Class Schedule TBA (3-4 Days a week)
Petite Company Line:
- 3-4 hours of weekly class
- Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop,Technique & Acro
- Competes in 3 Small Groups
- Attends at least one dance convention
- Class Schedule TBA (3-4 Days a week)
HDA Babies Company Line:
- 1.5 hours of weekly class
- Ballet, Tap, Jazz & Acro
- Competes in 1-2 Small Groups
- 3 Costumes (Ballet, Tap, Jazz)
- Class Schedule TBA (2-3 days a week)
Hudson Dance Academy 2023-24 Class Fees:
- 30 Min Class – $39 per month
- 45 Min Class – $47 per month
- 60 Min Class – $ 64 per month
- 75 Min Class – $70 per month
- 90 Min Class – $80 per month
- Acro (2 x per month) – $30 per month
- Multi Class Discounts Applied at Registration ($6-$30 per month)
- Registration fee $25
- Recital T-Shirt $25
- Nutcracker Fee $80 (every other year)
- Private Lessons $40 per half hour / $60 per hour
- Solo Cleaning $80 per month (Comp fees not included)
- Duet/Trio Cleaning $80 per month (Comp fees not included)
- Costume Fees $110 per costume for groups (Sr Co, Teen Co, Jr Co)
- Costume Fee $95 per costume for groups (Babies and Petite Co)
